Dr Elizabeth Goadby (Lizzy) is a Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years’ experience supporting children, young people, and their families. She completed her Bachelor of Psychological Science (First Class Honours) at the University of Queensland before going on to complete her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Griffith University.
Lizzy has worked across public and private settings, supporting children and adolescents with a wide range of developmental, emotional, and behavioural needs. She has also worked as a guest lecturer and academic at the University of Southern Queensland, teaching in the areas of Autism, ADHD, behavioural disorders, and cognitive‑behavioural intervention.
Lizzy’s current practice focuses on comprehensive, evidence‑based assessment. She is particularly passionate about the role assessment plays in helping young people understand themselves, access the right supports, and feel set up for success. She values working closely with parents and caregivers to make sense of what’s going on for their young person, and she is committed to creating a warm, playful, and engaging assessment experience that helps children feel safe and confident.
Her approach is neuro-affirming, strengths‑focused, and respectful of each child’s individuality. Lizzy has a special interest in the assessment of girls and women, whose neurodivergence is often overlooked or misunderstood. She is dedicated to providing clear, practical, real‑world recommendations that support young people at home, at school, and in the community — and that empower the adults around them to understand and respond to their needs.
Lizzy works at our Bulimba clinic on Saturdays.
